I always had a passion for horses ever since I could speak then when I was about six years old I was thrown off a horse which was also my first ride. No, I didn’t cry or whine but I asked to get back on. I started barrel racing about two years later on an old horse named Abe. He was slow but that’s exactly what I needed. Eventually my parents invested in getting my very own horse which was named Prince. Prince taught me everything from learning how to stay on a horse when it was bucking to becoming comfortable with letting him pick up speed. He soon became too old to ride so I had to go looking for another horse. That’s when I found the horse I have now, Tilly. Tilly and I have won all around champion for Haughton Riding club then Barrel Racing and Pole Bending champion at another riding club as well as Haughton’s. I’m a member of the NPBA and NBHA. I am sitting second in poles for the Piney Woods Youth Rodeo Association also and in top ten for barrels for my age group! Right now I’m breaking in a colt named Whiskey so I can eventually rope off of him. All of these horses have made me who I am and I am happy to share my story with you!
