BIO

I am an eighteen year old barrel racer from Princeton, MO. I have always been extremely involved in the horse world. My parents showed Appaloosas from before I was born, up until I got into rodeo. I was riding before I could even walk. I did everything from leadline to walt-trot, gaming events, pleasure classes, reining, halter and showmanship. I was training ponies at the age of six, then went on to start training horses at around twelve years old. I was given a barely broke Appaloosa mare to turn into a winning barrel horse. She was nothing special, just a very small six year old mare with a bad attitude problem. It took me one whole year of blood, sweat, and tears to get her where I wanted her to be. In 2013 I was able to enter her in the ApHC Youth World Show and ApHC Nationals which were held in conjunction. That week I walked away with a Reserve Youth World Champion title, as well as a Reserve National Champion title. I later went on to have the privilege of patterning a phenomenal paint mare. Together, in 2014, we won one APHA Youth World Championship, as well as two Reserve Youth World Championships and multiple scholarships. In 2013 I bought a rodeo horse from Fallon Taylor who took me on to make the 2015 United Rodeo Association finals, as well as win me NBHA Youth and Open 1D High Point buckles in 2013-2016. I have since then bought two more outstanding horses from Fallon. I have a four year old nephew to Babyflo who is already clocking in the 1D, as well as a ten year old pro rodeo gelding who I purchased in February that is already winning big. I am currently a member of the URA, MRCA, and IRA. I also just purchased my WPRA permit, and am hoping to fill it this coming year. I then plan to take online classes to get my psychology degree, and pro rodeo full time. As a competitor, I am truly passionate about the sport. I am also very passionate about helping others. I have taken several girls under my wing the past few years, helping them on their journey to success. It feels great to win, but I think it is just as satisfying watching the girls I have helped be successful. I have received so much knowledge from professionals in not only barrel racing, but reining and cutting, that I want to pass it on to as many people as possible.
