BIO

My name is McKenna Wood, and I go to San Benito high school in my hometown called Hollister. I’ve been riding horses since the day I was born. Some awards and accomplishments I have won are I was 2015-2016 Chsra District 4 Rookie all around cowgirl and Reserve all around high school cowgirl. I also had won reserve all around Jr high cowgirl for D4. I also am a Jr high and high school state finals qualifier in many and all my events. A few other accomplishments I have and won were some other rodeo all around and Actra roping saddles and I have won the all girl roping for Actra also and more. The events I compete in are barrels, pole bending, breakaway, goat tying team roping, cutting and officially soon I will be competing in the reining cow horse also. Some of my role models are Jackie Hobbs Crawford, Amberley Snyder, and some more.. They both work very hard and never give up on what they want even with obstacles in the way. A few things I would like others to know about me is I’m your typical fun smiling kind of gal, I love taking on challenges and traveling the rodeo trail, I’m always laughing and having a good time but also know how to stay focused and keep my head on straight and do the best I can in and out of the rodeo arena and practice pen!
