BIO
After learning to ride English until I was 14, I always had a passion for Western. Not owning a horse and not being financially set for one I picked up a summer job at 9 and saved up my money until June 11, 2016. My good friend was given a horse that the owner could no longer take care of and needed to find a home for him. Sonny was 15 years old and green broke, used just as a companion horse. I knew the day I met him that he would give me a challenge, but also allow me to find happiness in riding again.
After seven months of long nights and early mornings my 16.2 hand Quarter Horse gelding has accomplished more than I could have ever imagined. He has placed at least top 3 at every gymkhana we have gone to, won me 6 trophies, 2 medals, 4 ribbons, and counting. He is currently in second for his first entered buckle series and has truly made me proud to be an equestrian. I hope that you enjoy following Sonny and I’s journey to the top, proving that even the largest of challenges in life, are able to be overcome.
