Hi my name is Makayla Miller, I’m 15 years old and live in Plum, PA. My birthday is August,8th 2001. I have been riding for 8 years and been barrel racing for 6 years. My horse currently is named Jemma and soon I’ll be adding a new horse to my journey named Aspen. My role models are Fallon Taylor and Sherri Cervi, I’ve watched videos on YouTube of both of them all my life and want to be able to compete at the NFR one day like them. In 2013, I rode at the American Quarter Horse Congress & IBRA National Finals in Indiana. In 2013, I won the IBRA Youth 2D reserve Champion and won a leather jacket and a breast collar. In 2014, I won the IBRA 4th place in the 3D open and won a hay bag. I’ve also won a lot of 1D through 3D checks and jackets. I’m sponsored by 2 companies already and will be adding 2 more soon. I compete in IBRA PA WEST, NBHA PA, WPYRA, and Penn Ohio. Next year I’ll be adding another sport besides barrel racing, I’ll be starting my first season of goat tying at local rodeos. In 2017, I’ll be competing again at the IBRA National Finals and the All American Quarter Horse Congress and I’ll be competing in the WPYRA finals.
