My name is Makayla Lundgren but most people call me Kayla. I have been riding horses since I was 3 years old and started to barrel race when I was 5. I also do other things to like rope, goat tie, pole bending, and breakaway. I have only won 1 saddle but have won many halters, bridles, and breast collars. The horse I am riding currently is 14 years old and we rescued him from a dairy. The dairy didn’t want him and was just going to shoot him. When we brought him home he had no clue what barrels were. Grumpy got his name because at the dairy he killed 2 cows. Me and grumpy have been working really hard and have won at least 3 buckles. My role model would be Brittany Pozzi because every year I would watch the NFR and watch how she rode and tried some of her tips.
