Hi! My name is Madison Steuerwald, and I’m a 16 year old girl from a small town in Wisconsin called Waupaca. I’ve been a horse lover since the day I could walk, and I’ve been riding for almost 10 years. I currently own one horse, his name is Rebel Cody Sundance and he is a 16y/o Arabian Paint cross, registered with the PtHA. I bought Cody 6 years ago, and I’ve done all his training myself. I’ve bounced around in the horse world and done quite a few different disciplines (dressage, hunter/jumper, pleasure) but in the last few years I’ve decided to focus and specialize in barrel racing and ranch work. I have a small 3 stall barn on my property in Waupaca called Thunderstruck Performance Horses, where I do all my training out of. Making it in the horse world isn’t easy, and I couldn’t have done it without my extremely supportive parents, friends, and family. Especially my dad Mike, for building my dream horse property and making all my childhood dreams a reality. My mom, Jacquie, for buying my first horse, always being supportive, and helping me always chase what’s important to me. My cousin, Mia, for selling me Cody back in the day, and always being super kind and helpful. And my best friends, Megan and Sabra, for always knowing what to say and helping me along the way. I’ve come a long way in my riding journey, and I have a long way to go to make it in the barrel racing world, but I’m so glad I have such a wonderful support system. I can’t wait to be apart of the Lakota team, and represent such an amazing company.
