BIO

“My name is Madi McFarland. I compete actively in KY High School Rodeo and run at local jackpots and barrel races. I compete in barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, goat tying, and .22 rifle shooting. My main mount is WRF Watch This Kid; better known as Tilly. My other mount is Cookie, my very first horse, (whom I’ve owned for 9 years) who is my all-around horse and a solid 2D barrel horse.

I qualified for the 2017 JR High Nationals in .22 rifle, and finished 2nd out of the 4 in my state at nationals. I also was 6th place for KY at the end of the year; about three points from making nationals. I was recently used for a Young Rider magazine shoot on barrel racing. I have been barrel racing for 3 years now, and I started at the bottom. I have just now gotten to the point where I can compete with the other girls, and really hold my own. I am going into the 2018 season with new sponsors, new goals, and a new aggression to tackle the year head on.”
