Specific Styles: Barrel Racing
Primary Horse’s Name: “Dashed Past”

“My name is Maddi! I was blessed with a spot in the horse world about 2 1/2 years ago. I began by mucking stalls and just working through barn chores. I started riding HUS and hunter/jumper at just barely a walk/ trot. Then I met my equine partner Dashed Past when I joined the Highschool Equestrian team. Through sweat, tears and pure determination I was able to learn how to ride and run in 4 months. My coaches and friends put their faith into me and helped me become the barrel racer I am today. I now run competitively on the NBHA circuit along with other small weekend rodeos. I went from low 18.2 runs to my most recent 15.634! This year, Dash and I finished 3rd in the 1D for the NBHA MI04 youth. I am so grateful for my support system, but most of all I am blessed by my equine partner Dashed Past that never gives up on me and continues to help me learn everyday.”
