BIO

My name is Lauren Parent, and I live in the small town of Cool Ridge, West Virginia. I am fourteen years old, and I have been riding since I was two. I have been riding competitively in the WVHSRA since I was 7. I was the 2014 Hillbilly Classic Youth heading champion, 2015 Junior High breakaway roping champion, 2016 reserve Junior High goat tying champion, and 2016 Junior High team roping reserve champion. I am proud to say that I am a three time qualifier for the National Junior High Finals Rodeo. One of My goals is making it to the short-go at the NHSFR this year in Rock Springs, Wyoming. My role model would be Amberly Snyder because she never gives up despite the challenges she faces. I ride two horses in the rodeo, Jet and Doc. Jet is a seventeen year old gelding used in barrels and poles, and Doc is a twenty one year old gelding used in breakaway roping, team roping, and goat tying.
