BIO
I’m Kinsey, I have been in the horse industry for about 10 years now. I started competing when I was 9 and up to this day I still am. I have been in 4-h for about 9 years with a horse project and one goat. Over the years I have gotten many awards , from reserve champion to top 5 in my youth classes. I have won from jackets to bags to halters, also have metals and plagues. Lots and lots of ribbons. Best time of my life.
Short story – “Dry Creek Mac” was my best friend and my first barrel horse when I started competing. He taught me a lot and I went far with him. In 2015 I had to say goodbye to him due to colic. It was heartbreaking and then 8 months I had to say goodbye to my other barrel horse ” Moon”. He also taught me a lot and won me various of awards. Both of them horses have taken me a long way and I am grateful that I had the chance to be their mom. I have been off riding for a little over a year and come January of this year, I now have a barrel horse again -“Marias First Star” aka “Xena”. All I can say is, it feels good to be back in the saddle and competing again. I plan to go very far with this new mare and I’m really excited where she’s gonna take me. I will be competing a lot and hope to set a great example as a Lakota Young Professional.
