BIO

“My name is Kimberly Laue and I am from Winchester, Virginia. I am lucky enough to own “”Honestly Awesome””, my 4 year old APHA/PtHA gelding. I began riding at 7 years old and competing at 8 years old. I grew up in Southern California where I was able to ride with a trainer for 5 years. Over those 5 years, I had the opportunity to ride about 30-40 different types of horses, giving me a broader understanding of the equine world as a whole.

We then moved to Virginia and in the summer of 2018 I was able to purchase my first horse. Jasper and I now compete in the western events at the open show and 4-H level, with hopes of competing in the all-around events at more breed shows in the future. I am a member of the Golden Horseshoe 4-H Club and am on the horse judging, hippology, and horse bowl teams. I have done the USEF High School Lettering Program, am a member of the American Paint Horse Association, Pinto Horse Association of America, and the Virginia Paint Horse Club, as well as volunteering at my local therapeutic riding center. I look forward to having a role to play in the future of the equine industry.”
