My name is Katie Johnson. I’m from Kingston, Georgia. My horse’s name is Shine. He is a seven-year-old Mustang gelding and was captured in Spring Creek Basin, Colorado in 2012. Since then, I’ve broke him and began running barrels with him. He has taught me so much since I’ve had him. Not only has he taught me to be a better horsewoman, but he’s taught me respect, patience, and kindness. He always makes me want to do better and never give up on my dreams! I will always love rodeo and horses wholeheartedly!
