BIO

Hello! My name is Katelyn McDaniel, I am 14 years old, and am from a small town called Eldon, IA. I compete in 4H, NBHA, rodeo, barrel racing, pole bending, and hopefully goat tying here soon! I’ve owned my mare Kirby for a little over 2 years now, and have already accomplished so so much with her! We’ve won 4 buckles, a saddle, and a countless amount of tack and money. Probably my proudest accomplishment so far is becoming the Iowa NBHA D5 Open 2D Champion last year. And just recently I won Youth 1D at the Go 4 Gold Barrel Bonanza! My goal for end of the year this year and next year is to start placing more consistently in the 1D. My biggest inspiration in the barrel racing world is probably Fallon Taylor. She’s so bold and outgoing, and really tries to make sure her fans know they can accomplish what she has with a little hard work.
I am very excited to see what God has planned for the future of my horse and I! We have gotten so much better and so much faster since we started out and I can’t wait to keep improving. Kirby has been one of my biggest blessings in life and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us! Thank you!
