BIO
“My name is Kaitlynn Anderson and I am currently 16 living in a small town known as Grass Lake, MI. I was born on December 20th, 2000 and I was introduced to horses when I was 8 (2009). I received my horse (Spirit) as an untouched and abused six-year-old on June 16th, 2016. I have taken the last year to gain his trust and create a strong bond with him. After just 2 months of training and riding, I was able to take him to his first show without actually ever being on the pattern for him to take 3 first places during the show. I took the time to attend a few different clinics this year to really learn to help my horse around the barrel, following the clinics I was able to move on to some IBRA barrel shows to place 1st in the 3D.
Moving forward in our life together and training I would like to explore out to more clinics and shows and be able to expand my showing to our surrounding states. My most valuable role model would be Jackie Ganter (2-time WNFR qualifier), she was able to overcome her setbacks in life and continue on with her barrel racing.”
