BIO

My name is Kaitlyn Woodman, I’m from Marshall, TX and I am sixteen years old. My mom introduced me to rodeo when I was six years old, she has Barrel Raced and Roped for most of her life. Today I compete in Barrels and Poles through several different rodeo associations. One of those associations being the THSRA Region V. My goals for the year are to make state in both of my events and to make the LRCA & UPRA finals. I owe most of my success to one of my biggest mentors, Lauren Riley. She has guided me through everything and taught me more about the horse industry than anyone else could’ve. She’s also always made sure I was riding the best horses possible. Lauren has been there for me through everything. Especially when I lost my barrel horse last year to a brain aneurysm. If it weren’t for her I wouldn’t compete in rodeo today. I hope to rodeo throughout high school and gain a rodeo scholarship so I can continue my career in college. I’m so grateful to be able to do what I do every single weekend and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
