BIO
I am Julia Lane and I am a barrel racer. First and foremost, I give all my credit and glory to God for providing me with the opportunity to work hard at my dreams everyday. Second, I give my thanks to my two barrel horses, Phantom and Wicked for putting all their heart and drive into each run we make and anything else I ask of them.
The rodeo lifestyle quickly consumed my life beginning at a young age in grade school. I was running as a non-member in many mini series and barrel racing associations and I quickly began to gather up awards and ribbons. As years have gone by and myself and my horses have become more advanced, I have earned (and currently still do earn) 1st -3rd division belt buckles, award tack and pay stubs from my wins in NBHA, IBRA, and local jackpots. For that I could never be more grateful, blessed, or humbled. I like to consider myself a down-to-earth gal who is old fashioned and confident in myself and all my beliefs. With that being said, this year, I am competing at a higher entry level and I will be running in DC Western, NBHA D01, EZ Pro Race, and IBRA for the state of North Carolina with a full time membership. I would love to represent Lakota trailers and the Young Professionals Program while I continue to become more competitive and provide a good example for all riders alike!
