BIO

Hey ya’ll my name is Jessica Andrews. I have been very passionate about the equine species since I was five years old. I started out my career in the equine industry as a barrel racer but eventually grew quite fond of team roping when I was twelve years old. I am now sixteen and I compete with the Alabama Highschool Rodeo Association in team roping as well as pole bending. I also compete in team pennings and obstacle challenges. I was on a drill team for several years and I also rode steers in rodeo at age thirteen. I love to train and break horses as well. I have successfully trained a team of mini/Shetland ponies to pull a wagon and do many tricks on command. I am a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist and I am creating an education program where I will go into schools and teach children how to care for animals and our environment. I also own a registered pet partner therapy dog which I take into nursing homes and hospitals to aid in the therapy of patients. I am so grateful to have this opportunity and will continue to strive toward being a better horsewoman each and every day!
