BIO
Although I’ve been riding since I was very little, my passion for barrel racing and other speed events didn’t start until two years ago. I dabbled in English riding, specifically dressage and jumping, throughout elementary and middle school. Until my freshman year of high school when I began to expand out to my local fun and speed shows, barrel racing had only been a brief dream of mine from when I was little watching the high speed event from the stands at the local rodeo. Now that I have successfully completed my first real show season in 2017, I can finally say I have begun to achieve my dream. Erik and I have won many ribbons and even a few medals, and that is without pushing him to his full potential in speed and skill. With role models like Lisa Lockhart and Mary Burger, I aspire to be both a great rider and a great horsewoman as I find they do not always come hand in hand. I look forward to future barrel races and speed shows with my equine teammate and best friend Erik.
