BIO

Hi, my name is Jake Hawkins and I’m a competitive team roper. I was born in Goshen, Indiana and I am 17 years old. I have been roping since I was very small, maybe 4 or 5. One of my favorite accomplishments that I take pride in is winning the all-around reserve title for the National Little Britches Rodeo Association, or NLBRA of Michigan. Another award that I’m very proud of is going down to Louisiana to compete and win the #9 team roping out of 423 teams. Out of the winnings, I got a really nice saddle that I use constantly.

One day, hopefully in the near future, I would like to compete competitively at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada on my trusted yellow horse we call Twain. He’s a hyped up heel horse that I have won lots of money on. My hero, the man I strive to be, is my dad. He has taught me to never give up and look to God when I need help.
