BIO
Hi! My name is Erica Renay Johnson. I’m seventeen years old and my birthday is May 11th. I’m from the small town of Camden, AL. I’ve lived here my entire life. For my eleventh birthday I got my “first” horse (we had horses when I was born, but sold them around the time is was three). Later that year I got a more competitive barrel and pole horse and started to compete in rodeos. In my first year of rodeo I competed in barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tying. The next rodeo season rolled around and I decided to try out breakaway and team roping. My 8th grade year I placed 7th in poles and my parter and I won the ribbon roping saddle. I was the 2014 Cowkids 4 Christ Senior All-around cowgirl, senior pole bending champion, senior goat tying champion, and I placed 3rd in breakaway. In 2015 I placed 3rd in light rifle shooting at AHSRA. I placed 3rd in goat tying at NAYRA in 2015. I’m also the 2016 AHSRA light rifle champion and Cowkids Senior Goat Tying Champion. I also placed 3rd in reined cow horse at AHSRA this past season. These past 2 summers I have gone to nationals in reined cow horse and light rifle shooting. My goal this year is to win the goat tying saddle in AHSRA and make it to nationals in goat tying and breakaway.
I have four horses Kenda, Dan, Skip, and Twix.
They all enjoy riding in our amazingly wonderful Lakota trailer. It is comfortable for them as well as for my family and me!
