BIO
My name is Emily Sargent, I’m 19 and from Tucson, Arizona. I am finishing my sophomore year at Pima Community College studying psychology and sign language. I competed in barrel racing, breakaway and goat tying throughout junior high and high school. In 8th grade I made it to the National Junior High School Finals Rodeo in breakaway and goat tying. Since high school, I’ve been primarily competing in local barrel racing jackpots a couple times a month. I’m not entering as many rodeos as I would like to, but my goal is to get my WPRA card by the time I’m done with school. I own 2 horses that I compete on, one is a paint named Lucky who is my first horse I’ve had since I was 10, and the other is a quarter horse named Tiger who I’ve had going on 3 years. My role model is Sherry Cervi, she’s an incredible person and horsewoman, she had always been the biggest inspiration to me.
