My name is Emily Gray. I come from a small town in Tennessee, and a family that has never been in rodeo. I have been through some tough times, but I’m still hustling in school. In school, I’m a straight A student, hoping to make it to Vanderbilt, but outside of school, I’m constantly hustling to make my dreams a reality.
I think it first set in how much I loved horses and this sport when I won my first buckle at a saddle club. Since then, I’ve grown to love and be so proud of this sport, the animals, and the competitors. I’ve won 8 buckles, a few jackets, some tack, and a few small pieces over the few years. I definitely look up to Michelle McLeod because she is just a great rider and soul. I love how she tries so hard every time she runs, and that’s the same energy I put in every time I’m in the arena.
