My name is Emilee Haag, and I am from a small town in Central, WI. I’ve ridden horses since I was 6 years old, and been around them since I was 3. No matter how hard I try, I cannot remember a time without horses. They have taught me so many things such as how to win, how to lose, how to be confident, and how to have sportsmanship. March 16, 2016 I got a new horse. Cervantes DHA, (“Flynn”) has changed my life immensely already and has given me so many opportunities. Flynn has made me a different person and rider. He showed me that hard work actually does pay off, and hard work can even be fun. In the short time I’ve had him we’ve already been 3x Reserve Champions and 2x Grand Champions, and we’ve gotten more ribbons than I’ve gotten in my whole career with other horses. While Flynn is the reason I got these opportunities, the reason I got the awards is because of my role model, my amazing trainer. I’ve been with my trainer since I was three years old, and I’m now 16. She knows just how far to push me and has taught me so much more than just how to ride a horse. I am forever grateful for horses.
