BIO
My name is Ellie and I live next to Dorothy and Toto! well… not exactly, but I am from the Kansas city area! I started riding when I was two and have loved it ever since! I have tried many different disciplines including Jumping, Fox hunting, showmanship, mounted shooting, western pleasure, barrel racing, pole bending, etc. And I hope to one day get the chance to try goat tying, roping, sorting, and trick riding. I just recently got into barrel racing and I’m pretty sure that’s what I was born to do! I started off with just going to local fun shows with a mare that I had been watching and loved the barrel racing part so much I started begging to get more involved in it. After years of asking for a horse I finally have one to call my own, RF Dutchman’s Digger, aka Digger! Digger is a 2010 AQHA gelding trained on barrels. I got Digger in October of 2018 so as of now we don’t have many “big” accomplishments, but I have many goals I have that I hope to be able to achieve someday. Some of those goals include competing in the BBR finals, NBHA youth finals, JR NFR, JR American Royal, Patriot, etc. I know those goals might seem like a lot, but what can I say, reach for the stars and set them goals high because without them you won’t get many places.
