BIO
“My name is Ellana Haifley and I am from a small town called Three Rivers Michigan. I grew up not around horses, only taking a few riding lessons here and there for fun. As a kid, I always knew I wanted horses for the rest of my life so I worked as hard as I could to convince my parents I was responsible enough to have my own. After a few years of showing them my ability to take care of an animal, they got me my first horse.
Since then I have traveled around Michigan and Indiana just starting my barrel racing career. I have been barrel racing for 4 years now and 2018 is my year to step it up. I am a part of IBRA, AQHA, FQHR, and AMHA. I have won around $500 with my barrel horse so far in 2 years of having him, just doing local shows and jackpots. I qualified for the 2018 IBRA Nationals in Tennessee and plan on making the trip down there this upcoming year. I am beyond excited for this new year full of competing and to set a great example as a Lakota Young Professional.”
