BIO

My name is Denver McGill and I have been rodeoing for 4 years in CHSRA district 3. I team rope, breakaway rope and goat tie. I have qualified for state in the goat tying and breakaway my eight grade year and finished 9th in the state for goats. I qualified for state in goats my freshman year as well. I also rodeo for NCJRA and qualified for the finals in the goats, breakaway and steer stopping in eighth grade and won the year end for goats and the average for breakaway and goats. My freshman year I qualified in the team roping, breakaway, and goats and won the goat average and had the fastest team roping time of the weekend. In 2015 I qualified for the National Little Britches Finals in the goats, team roping, breakaway, and ribbon roping.

I am proud of how far I have come in such little time. I have only been redoing for a short amount of time but I am competing at the same level of kids who have been doing it their whole lives. It proves that hard work and hours and hours of practice really will pay off. You have to take the time and effort and remove things that are getting in the way of your goals.
