BIO
My name is Dalton Hauser, I am 16 years old and have been riding for 12 years. I get my passion for horses from my mom, and our horses are an huge part of our lives. I have two horses, on my competition team. Astro aka “All that Jazz” is the pony I started on, and has taken me to where I am today. He prepared me for my adoption of my Off The Track Thoroughbred, Rondo aka “Rockfish Farms Rondo.” Astro, Rondo, and I have taught each other very much, and moving from my “super pony” to the green, troubled, OTTB has strengthened my commitment, to the work I know I need to be doing with my horses. It has made me stronger, and has given me a drive to be a perfectionist. My role model is Jessica Stumph. Jess too was raised in a family with horses and a horse mom, and has a keen understanding and respect for the horses. She rode on a intercollegiate team and is now a veterinarian, and is sharing her journey and is mentoring me along the way. My greatest accomplishment is taking Rondo from a young, mean, scared, OTTB, who was being thrown away, the horse everyone was scared of, and turned him into a horse who has peace of mind, and fire in his heart. A work of art, some might say. My most distinguished show awards are, Grand Champion Feild Hunter at the State Fair Open show, 2x East Reigon 4H Senior Hunter Pony Champion, 2016 Reserve Champion at SHSA, A rated circuit in my area, In low jumper, and Grand Champion at SHSA again, in the Showmanship division.
