BIO
My name is Cloey Griffiths. I started riding horses when I was nine years old at my local stables in Tehachapi. After one year of lessons I begged my mom and dad to take me to my first barrel race. I was hooked. I decided to join the Tehachapi Jr rodeo association. For a year I competed on my horse Lacey, a stubborn little Arabian, but we had a blast. Now I ride a paint I call Dizzy Miss Lizzy. My horse Lizzy is the sweetest paint you could find, I love her so much. After two years of rodeo at my local Jr rodeos, I decided it was time to add more competition. I signed up for the District 9 rodeo team. I qualified for my first Jr. division state finals of 2017 and I ranked 38 in the state for barrel racing. I’m thankful for God, all my friends, family, and trainers that helped me get to state. I am proud to be a Lakota Young Professional.
