BIO

My name is Claire Babcock and I am from Sacramento, California. I am sixteen years old and have been riding horses for five years. I own two AQHA geldings, Where Do I Sign, aka Tebow and Invest’ In Freckles, aka Freckles. I’ve been showing AQHA on my 2005 Gelding, Freckles, for over two years. We recently competed at the AQHA Level 1 Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada where we earned Bronze Champion in Rookie Youth Hunt Seat Equitation, Top 10 in Rookie Youth Hunter Under Saddle, and Top 5 in Rookie Youth Western Riding. My horse Freckles and I have competed at local AQHA shows winning Top Five placings in all-around western events. Our most recent accomplishment is winning the Top 5 circuit champion title in Western Riding at the AZQHA Arizona Fall Championship. I am hoping to show my new horse, Tebow, a 2012 AQHA Gelding at the All American Quarter Horse Congress and AQHA Youth World in Trail, Western Riding, and Pleasure. When I am not showing on the AQHA circuit, I show on an Interscholastic Equestrian Team (IEA) competing in Hunt Seat classes. Last year I won the title of Regional High Point Champion and Zone Reserve Highpoint Champion in my division. My role model is my trainer, Liz Remphrey, of Liz Remphrey Show Horses because of her hard work, dedication, and talent when training horses and working with her clients. I strive to have the skills as a rider and trainer that Liz does.
