BIO

My name is Carmen Jorns, and I come from a small city in Wisconsin. I have been riding since I was about 2 years old and my parents bought me a horse at 4 years old, realizing it wasn’t just a phase. I started competing in barrel racing when I was 6 years old on my POA Tip. We were a team until 2013 when he ended up getting moonblindness in one eye. In all the years we were a team, we earned numerous trophies, Buckles, ribbons, and other awards. He also gave me the confidence I needed to grow as a rider. With him I started competing at 4h shows, qualifying to State Gymkhana and winning Grand Champion awards both times he brought me there. I am currently riding a 7 year old quarter horse mare named, SheZaHottie. But I call her Hottie. I purchased her in 2013 after Tip went blind when she was a 4 year old. Over the past 3 years, we have really bonded as a team. With Hottie, I am now competing in NBHA, IBRA, UBRA, and other speed series or shows. I have also done Wisconsin Highschool Rodeo on Hottie. I also have a 4 year old grulla filly that was born on my farm and I’ve trained her from the ground up.

I wouldn’t be here today where I am if it wasn’t for my mom. She hauls me everywhere I need to go and always supports me. She is my number one fan.
