BIO

My name is Bethanie Shofner. I currently am a freshman attending NMSU. I compete on the NMSU Rodeo team with a scholarship. I also compete in a lot of ameatur rodeos. I team rope, breakaway rope, and goat tie. I own three horses. Rob is my head horse. Zig is my breakaway and goat horse. Gunner is my practice horse. I love all my horses with everything I have. They are the most spoiled horses. They all have taken me far in my rodeo career.

I high school rodeod in New Mexico and Arizona. Freshman year through sophomore year I competeted in New Mexico. Junior and Senior year I competed in Arizona. I qualified top ten in all my events my Junior year of High school, while also qualifying for the high school national finals. I did the same thing my senior year and qualified again for the high school national finals. I have competed in the U.S. Finals in Oklahoma City. In 2015 I competed in the #13 shoot out. I placed 12 over all. I love this sport of rodeo, it gives me a thrill nothing else ever could.
