BIO

My name is Audrey Barnett and I am a first generation cowgirl from western Kentucky. I started Kentucky Junior Rodeo when I was in third grade and I have been hooked on rodeo ever since. All of my horses have been home-trained, which makes every check and buckle doubly satisfying. I qualified for the National Junior High Finals Rodeo twice, and the National High School Finals Rodeo all four years of high school. Currently, I compete in Open 4D barrel races as well as Open Rodeos such as Lone Star Rodeo in my region. I recently made it back to the short go at the $60,000 Ultimate Youth Rodeo in Shelbyville, TN. I placed 4th overall in the pole bending, and the rodeo will be televised on RideTV soon.
The horse I mainly compete on is an 18yo black grade gelding named Hobo. He has been in my life for 15 years and we have traveled the country together competing in barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tying. I compete usually every other weekend locally, but our next goal is to qualify for the National Pole Bending Association national finals in 2017, and compete in several large barrel races and open rodeos..
