My name is Ashley Russell and I live in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. I have been barrel racing since I was 8 years old, and I started competitively racing at the age of 11. I currently own a horse named Ginger Ale (Ginger), and she is about 14 years old. In 2016 Ginger and I won the Reserved Champion of the year. Something that I am really proud of is my horse. She always tries her hardest even when she doesn’t fully understand everything. Ginger has come such a long way and she still has more to show. My biggest role model is Fallon Taylor, because she is such an amazing leader. She has goals set and she breaks them. Someday I plan on meeting her and telling her all of my goals as well.
