BIO
Hiii!!! I am Amry Palmer, a 17 year old senior from Flagstaff, Arizona. I have always had a love for horses and anything that involves them. I got my first horse when I was six years old and have been riding ever since. I started out just trail riding and going to occasional play days, but nothing very competitive. As the years went on I grew interested in horse training and starting colts. At the same time I was also getting somewhat competitive in rodeo events, mainly barrel racing and team roping. Since I mostly owned young horses in training I didn’t get serious about rodeo until the age of 15. Now I compete in barrels, poles, goat tying, breakaway, and team roping almost every weekend; and when I’m not at a rodeo I am jackpoting. Barrel racing and team roping are my favorite events.
I currently a, member of NBHA, USTRC, and am competing in High School rodeo along with Junior rodeos. I am also a proud member of AQHA and personally own five horses. “Show Me Hombres Gold” aka Shorty is my main horse. I have had him since he was a two year old and we clicked right away. Together we have won tons of money, a few buckles, and the KJRA All Around Cowgirl saddle. Shorty and I were also the 2016 HP Ranch Invitational Champion Barrel Racers. Most of my accomplishments have been raising, training, and selling successful rope horses; and I plan to continue doing well as a rodeo athlete. My future plans are to do my best in High School rodeo and qualify for both State and Nationals in as many events as possible. I plan to continue rodeo in college and have been in contact with several coaches but I am still unsure of where I want to attend. One day my goal is to professional rodeo, along with training horses that way I am always doing what I love. My biggest role model is Fallon Taylor, she is constantly learning and working towards becoming not only a better rodeo athlete, but a better person. I am very thankful for my supportive parents, amazing horses, and the sport of rodeo.
