BIO
“Hello, my name is Amber! Since a young age I have had a passion for horses, but I was unable to own them due to living in a neighborhood. Three years ago I was given the great opportunity that changed my life forever. My family purchased land and told me I could get a horse! I found a Quarter Horse colt my friend owned and fell in-love with him, so my parents decided to gift him to me. I have spent countless hours training him and showing him at our local state fair. Our hard work payed off we were able to take home a second place ribbon for the halter class as a yearling!
My love horses just kept growing and I knew I wanted to do something more! I found a APHA mare named Bacardii that used to excel in barrel racing and decided to purchase her. We have been practicing and learning from each other and now we make a good team, so I made the decision to rodeo with her this year through the Idaho Cowboy Association and I am going to run for Gem/Boise county rodeo queen! My proudest accomplishment is I currently hold the position of Emmett FFA chapter president and I plan to use the public speaking skills I have learned from FFA to assist in my pursuit for rodeo queen, and any other opportunities that may come my way!”
