BIO
I’m Alisa Landry, a 16 year old Lousiana High School Rodeo member based out of Gonzales, Louisiana. Ive been riding since I was about 4 years old. I started competitively riding Hunter/Jumper when I was 9 years old but after 2 years I switched gears into something more high paced. I started running barrels in my backyard at the age 11 after watching YouTube videos of NFR barrel racing. Five years later I’ve won a saddle and numerous buckles, all on horses I’ve started myself. In August 2015 I purchased a 9 year old paint mare, who I like to call “mare”, whom was severely under weight and knew nothing about a barrel pattern. I started her on the pattern early September 2015 and I’m now, a year later, running rodeos every weekend and placing just about each time I enter her. I’m apart of several rodeo associations, I run big and small 4D jackpots, as well as pro rodeos here and there. Along with running barrels, I also breakaway rope and run poles. Im a strong, self-driven teenager looking to make a name for myself in the rodeo industry. A few inspirations of mine are Danyelle Campbell, Fallon Taylor, and Jodie Summers
