BIO
My name is Alexis Pope and I’m from a small town in the Appalachian Mountains known as Deep Gap, North Carolina. I was born March 16th 1999 and I’ve been riding horses since I was three years old and competing at the age of 6. My registered APHA gelding and I compete in Cowboy Mounted Shooting, Western Pleasure and Cattle sorting. Our main discipline is the Mounted Shooting and we’ve been to three different states already competing and a goal of mine, which recently turned to a reality, is to compete in the Mounted Shooting held at the Quarter Horse Congress next year and the years after that! My role model is my mother, because she was diagnosed with two serious diseases that have completely altered her life and diet. They leave her in constant pain and tourture but she is the most sweet, caring, Christian woman I’ve ever seen and I strive to be like her everyday.
