BIO
“My name is Ainsley Farmer, I’m 15 years old and I currently live in a small town in southern Illinois. I have two AQHA mares that I run barrels and poles on, named Indy and Pistol. I’ve been raised with hoses and I started barrel racing when I was three years old! I have won halter at the Wyoming State Fair three consecutive years and overall grand champion in 4-H for two years. I enjoy the challenge of being a barrel racer and constantly improving the bond between my horses and I. I compete at small, local jackpots as well as big, regional races. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to keep chasing your dreams, especially when you don’t win for that’s when you’re most discouraged.
It’s important to never give up on your dreams when something goes unexpectedly wrong. Amberley Snyder has pushed through something not many people would be able to and has continued to chase her dream despite being paralysed. She’s a great role model for all and never gives up. She’s pushed me to continue to pursue my dreams and I will always look up to her.”
