“My name is Kelsey Johnson, I was born in 2002. I live in a small town in the Southern tier of New York. I got my first horse, a Mini, when I was 4 years old that started the love affair. When I was 8 years old I won a calf scramble at a local rodeo. The prize was my current horse Mushroom. I raised and trained her myself under my moms guidance.
Mushroom and I have regularly participated in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Keyhole, and Break Away Roping at our local rodeos for the last 5 years. One of our greatest accomplishments to date was placing 2nd in barrels at the Open Rodeo held at the Oneonta County Fairgrounds. My goal for 2018 is to qualify for the NBHA Finals.”
